Cold Lake Air Show July 18 -19th Weekend
Free camping is available at "Mike's Farm". This is just an open field Map that you can camp in. Bring your own power (to recharge your radio), water, food, and facilities. It is about 20 minutes away from Cold Lake. Or you can make arrangements for a hotel room in Cold Lake on your own dime. Volunteers will get in free, but family members who wish to attend must purchase a ticket.
The Ham Radio responsibilities will be to observe and report problems on the VHF Simplex Net. Net Control will pass information to the Military Command Post and the military will look after any problems that we report. We will be watching the perimeter of a safety keep out zone, watching for traffic problems on the approaching highways, and disorderly conduct in the crowd, and lost people.
Gear for the show: HT, spare battery, a refillable personal water bottle, Sun hat, sun screen, chair, note pad.
Participants will get a T-Shirt, Ball Cap, and a Lunch each day.
