Membership in The Northern Alberta Radio Club (TNARC) is open to anyone with an interest in amateur radio. Many members are certified operators, but certification is not required.
Membership follows the calendar year (January 1–December 31). It becomes active when we have received and processed both a complete application and payment of the applicable fee.

Does membership include GST?
Does membership include GST?
Yes. TNARC is GST-registered and must charge GST on membership fees, but it's already included in the fee shown — you don't pay anything extra. GST # 77183 0031 RT0001.

Fill out the membership application (Google Form). It asks for your callsign and basic contact information, as required by the Alberta Societies Act.

Choose one of three methods below. Your membership isn't active until both your application and payment have been received and processed.

Interac e-Transfer — it activates your membership quickest.
Choose Interac e-Transfer in your online banking.
Send to membership@tnarc.ca.
Enter the amount.
In the message field, include your callsign (or name, if you don't have one) and "TNARC membership for 2026."

Paying by etransfer is the preferred method of payment. If you are unable to etransfer you may pay by cash or a cheque to the treasurer at a regular monthly club meeting.

Again this method is dicouraged in favour of etransfer. Payments by mail can take many weeks ot be processed. Make a cheque payable to The Northern Alberta Radio Club and mail it to:

In-person and mailed payments (options above) take longer than e-Transfer, since membership is only valid once both your application and payment are received and reconciled.
